Customer Service Representative

 Job Summary

DPI Specialty Foods, the Northwest's leading specialty foods distributor, is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to assist our customers and our Inside Sales team at our Tualatin office. The Customer Service Representative receives and processes/edits orders for the sales staff via telephone, fax, and email.

 Location
 Tualaton, OR
 Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least two years of customer service experience. Experience in the food/grocery industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to remain on the phone for long periods of time.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
Essential duties and responbilities include the following
  • Receive and process orders.
  • Process special item orders.
  • Provide assistance to retail sales staff.
  • Assist customers and provide information.
  • Assist customers with will call orders.
  • Recommend substitute items for out of stock items.
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel, drivers, and buyers.
  • Sort and file miscellaneous paperwork.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
